Hugh Vincent Creaney and Yvonne Steel

Married - July 15th, 2000

The night before ....

On, July 15th, 2000, my wee brother Hugh Vincent got married to his "high school sweetheart" (that's what they like to call them here in the U.S. of A.) Yvonne Steel. The marriage ceremony took place in St. Lucy's church in Cumbernauld, Scotland, U.K. The following pages will give you some idea of the fun we had if you didn't make it and remind you of what you were doing that day if you were present. If you click on any of the pictures it will take you to a slightly larger version of the picture. If there are any mistakes email me and let me know (the address is at the bottom of the page) .. if you have any comments you can also email them to the same address. Video will be added at some point.

On the night before the wedding some of the family and friends went down to the church to check things over. The main reason was for Moya and Dominic to find out where they would be placed and have practice. Some of the rest of us wanted to take a look at the steps up to the lectern to see if we could avoid tripping in front of everyone .. it didn't work, watch the video closely, it seems that it's getting back down the steps without tripping that's the really tricky part.

Everyone stood around listening to the music, making final arrangements, joking as only our family can and picking on Mum for getting teary-eyed when Moya and Dominic played "Annie's Song".

When everyone was satisfied we all headed off our separate ways. After spending some time with Hugh Vincent at his place we headed back home where Dominic tried on my Dad's kilt. We took digital photographs and emailed them off to Ireland! Stephen, Christine, Moya and Dominic headed over to Stephen and Christine's for the night while those of us at Laird Street awaited the arrival of the Scally contingent from Jersey.
